BUCHAN NESS LIGHTHOUSE
Red Band Beauty
Driving along the Aberdeenshire coast towards Peterhead, one thing is sure to catch your eye: the Buchan Ness Lighthouse. You can't miss it! Its bright red bands stand out against the North Sea. This lighthouse is a real beauty and one of my favourites in the North East of Scotland. It sits dramatically on a small promontory.
For a closer look, visit the fishing village of Boddam, where you can walk over a bridge. Access to the lighthouse itself is not possible, but you can walk around it.
