TOP 5 SPOTS EDINBURGH

5 Must-See Spots in Edinburgh

Edinburgh is a city full of surprises, with hidden corners and alleyways to explore around every corner. You can easily spend several weeks in this beautiful city. But for those who only have one day before they head off to the Highlands, here are my top 5 favourites:

1️⃣ Calton Hill: For amazing views of the city below, head to Calton Hill. It's the best place to catch the sunrise or sunset (if you're not a morning person, but be aware of the crowds).

2️⃣ Scottish Parliament Building: The facade of the Scottish Parliament Building is definitely worth a photo. It's very artsy and unique.

3️⃣ Victoria Street: This Harry Potter-esque street is colourful and vibrant. It's best to visit early in the morning for photos, but it's also great for strolling anytime, day or night.

4️⃣ Dean Village: This former milling village is only a mile away from the city centre. It's very picturesque and shouldn't be missed on your Edinburgh stop.

5️⃣ Ross Fountain & Edinburgh Castle: Of course, you need a good photo of Edinburgh Castle, no matter how short your stay. Try to take one with the famous Ross Fountain (found in the Princes Street Gardens) in the foreground - it looks particularly majestic from there.
