CAGARROS

What the Heck is that Sound???

The cagarro, an unofficial mascot of the Azores, is a nocturnal bird known for its unique cries.

However, their navigation by the moon and stars is disrupted by lights from towns, causing them to circle streetlights and land in dangerous areas.

Dedicated initiatives rescue and release confused birds, but some may resist returning to the sea.
