RUBH AN TEAMPAILL (ISLE OF HARRIS)

Rubh an Teampaill: The Hidden Magic on Isle of Harris

Rubh an Teampaill, or Temple Head, on the Isle of Harris is a magical spot. There's limited parking at the end of the road in Northton, so get there early to grab one!
From there, it's a 50-minute hike through some awesome sand dunes to reach the ruins of an ancient chapel. Trust me, the view from the headland is mind-blowing! You'll see rugged cliffs and a sandy bay that will make your photos look like they're straight out of a postcard. Play around with long exposures to capture the movement of the waves and clouds. The changing light will add an extra layer of depth to your photos.

Best to pack a lunch, because you'll want to spend the whole day exploring the headland. There are mountains, dunes, and bays everywhere you look, giving you endless opportunities to experiment with textures and colours.
Rubh an Teampaill is a place where history and nature come together to create a scene that's totally unique and captivating. It's like stepping into a different, peaceful, world while being surrounded by the beauty of nature.
